The first step in leveraging the power of the Faraday engine is giving it something to work with. While you have access to all of our national household database, the real explanatory potential starts to rise to the surface when you add data that represents your own customers and other CRM statuses.
Fortunately, this is a pretty simple process.
1. Prepare your data
What sorts of data do you have on hand? Sales from the last year? A call list with outcomes? Detailed information about customer engagement? It's all potentially valuable. We need three basic criteria in order to bring it onboard:
CSV format - TXT works as well, but it must be some sort of delimited file, not XLS or XLSX. If you've got your data in a spreadsheet, the quickest way to a CSV is File --> Save As --> Comma Separated Values. You can also get your data into this format if it's housed in Salesforce.
Complete addresses - In order to match your dataset to our national database, we need an address for each record you provide. At a minimum this should be house number and street, plus city and state (and/or zip codes).
Clear status - Are these existing customers? Prospects? A broad-based demographic data purchase? The status of the data should be clearly indicated, either in the filename or in a column within the dataset.
2. Upload to the platform
From the upload page, you can drag and drop, or hit the green "Upload file" button!
3. Communicate with the Faraday Customer Success team
We pride ourselves on attention to detail; every dataset that comes into the Faraday system is evaluated and approved by an engineer. If we have questions about data types, codes, or anything else, we'll be in touch. If you have notes of your own to share, contact your customer success manager!
4. Use the ingested data
Once it's been imported, your data will be available alongside Faraday's, ready for filtering, analysis, modeling and more!
