Faraday uses Hightouch, a reverse ETL platform, that allows us to share your Faraday data to your Segment account to activate with it.
We can push data such as Faraday Personas and your predictive Outcome, e.g. "High Risk for Churn” scores appended to each of your contacts in Segment. We can also push consumer profile data from our Faraday Identity Graph. Please discuss with you AM as additional costs may be associated with this.
This is a two step process clearly outlined below. Please follow steps sequentially beginning with the first part.
Enabling Segment/HighTouch/Faraday to connect
Provide us with an API key.
Go to sources on left side of page
Search for HTTP API
Click the Add button
Name it "faraday-hightouch"
Click Add Source
Copy the write key (API key) generated and upload via our App as normal
For future reference, you can access the key by opening the Source, then Settings (top navigation) → API keys (left-hand navigation)
Sending credentials securely to Faraday:
Go to the Faraday app’s Destinations Console, click + New destination at the top.
Search for Segment as a Destination location, enter a descriptive name, and click Next.
Enter your credentials here, and click Next.
3. Under Finalize, click Create destination. Faraday can now begin the integration process.
4. Please alert your AM (account manager) when this has been configured.
Pushing Data to Segment
When we sync data to Segment using hightouch it will automatically update
traitswithin Segment, and you can see the metadata being pushed by our deliveries in the Source.
Navigate to Sources in the left-hand sidebar and open the Faraday-Hightouch Source.
Click Debugger along the top. If the delivery is currently copying, you can actually watch the delivery deliver.
traits[persona] will provide the persona assignment.
traits[churn_reduction_score_percentile] is the score by Outcome, where churn_reduction is the outcome name (in this example, it will vary for your particular situation and outcome), while the value is the score percentile (0-100%).
